DEVLOG #1: THE GENESIS OF AMNEK

Welcome to the first developmental update for Royal Armies. Our mission is to redefine the high-stakes strategy genre by blending rigorous tactical simulation with a vibrant, high-fantasy world. We are moving away from the dull aesthetics common in the genre, instead opting for a brighter, more immersive presentation that brings the continent of Amnek to life.
Deployment & Specialization
Upon entry, players are randomly assigned to one of the 15 Great Nations. You will then choose between two starting classes: Military Commander or Military Warmage. While base titles remain consistent, each class offers unique ranks and access to a Specialized Unit Type trainable only in your specific area of the continent.
Progression & The Great Tree
Every soldier starts in basic gear—armor for Commanders or robes for Warmages. As you rank up through the Age, you will unlock the ability to purchase superior equipment. Upon reaching your Third Rank, you gain access to the Great Tree of Blessings, where you will choose your defining Banner and begin an upgrade path to tailor your traits to your nation's needs.
The Decade Evolution
Our most ambitious feature is the Story-Driven Evolution. Every 10 Ages, the narrative of Amnek advances, mechanically altering the world by unlocking new discoveries, maps, and in-game opportunities. This is an MMORTS designed for deep activity—every hour you spend contributes directly to your country's dominance.
